Some Floral Tips…..

Altar Arrangements

Flowers For The Altar

Altar pieces can be very formal arrangements for indoors, or very informal arrangements for outdoor use. Many types of green plants can be used for altar pieces and very dramatic by draping fabric, or tulle around green plants, or placing plants on pedestals and draping fabric or tulle to the floor. Tulling and fabric can be used in the arrangement to reduce expense of flowers, and puddling tulle or fabric around arrangements is an inexpensive way to create drama and cut costs on florals.

Fabric or tulle or ribbon is a fresh look with greens on candelabras. Keep in mind that all flowers during the ceremony can be used at the reception, including candelabra pieces, on the head tables.

Beautiful Floral for Decorating Cakes

Floral toppers are very common along with flowers cascading down the side of cakes. Toppers for cakes are usually as individual as brides and grooms. Some toppers are very light and airy, some are traditional and tailored, and some are very wild. Cake toppers can be designed in all sizes of cakes, and many brides want the flowers cascading out on the cake table. The same affect can be done with silk or fresh rose petals. Cup cake trees can also be made with fresh flowers on each cup cake, and are great for outdoor weddings.

Corsages can be made in a pin on version, or wrist version. You can change the whole look of a corsage by using different ribbons, rhinestones, or pearls, and jewels are becoming more and more in demand for corsages, and bouquets. Many of my brides request silk leaves with fresh flowers in their wedding corsages. Remember that you don’t have to have the mothers of brides and grooms wear corsages. Many brides choose to have the mothers carry a single rose with greens and fillers.
