Cities In Orange County Mission Viejo California

Mission Viejo is laid in a tradition that dates back to the days of men on horses driving cattle. In fact, the name Mission Viejo is what hearkens back to the travails in San Juan Canyon more than two hundred years ago. Nearly 30 years ago, the Mission Viejo Co. bought exactly 10,000-acre section of Rancho Mission Viejo from the great O’Neill family. Mission Viejo was earlier considered a land that could not yield anything leave along building a real eastate.

After the recent census, it had a population estimate of approximately 98,000. Although the city was built in a modern way, its culture has been retained over the years. It has embraced the heritage, community events, sports, highlights and other milestones that have helped it to in a great shape up to date.

This pristine South Orange County city is also known for its prestigious tree-lined neighborhoods that have always received several foundations and even organizations. The master plan that was created for the community was an excellent plan that specified the number of homes, parks, recreational activities and retail spaces. This made the city be considered safe, convenient and friendly during the 2007 ranking. As for weddings, there are many quality Mission Viejo wedding venues.

After John Foster had bought the rolling hills of the valley, home to a sea of grazing cattle, no one knew that it will become home to seekers of “The California Promise”. In 1963, an idea of coming up with a community rose and it was put in place. By 1966, the general development plan had found its way into the maze county permits, and the first homes were sold.

The project became successful thanks to Donald Bren idea of drafting a master plan. After Donald Bren plan worked, he later became the president of the Irvine Company. To date, the unique design and ideas are highly respected and appreciated. This is evident because fewer than a handful of change have been made. To be exact, it’s only Saddleback College and Lake Mission Viejo that have been introduced to the old plan.
